Juneteenth Celebrations

University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry will celebrate Juneteenth on Friday, June 18 with two events!

This historic holiday takes place annually on June 19 and marks America's second Independence Day. Although a celebration of African American history, Juneteenth remains relatively unknown to

most American citizens.

Juneteenth C
ommemorative Walk | 4 p.m.

Start your Juneteenth celebration with a commemorative walk. During this event, participants will walk a path together to commemorate Juneteenth. Registration is required.

Juneteenth Cookout |
5:30 p.m.
The Juneteenth cookout will include music, food, and activities. Feel free to bring lawn chairs, blankets, water, and sunscreen, so you can hang out and enjoy the music! Registration is required.
