View all Penn GSE Virtual Institutes

Monday, November 9, 2020 - Wednesday, November 11, 2020

Penn GSE Virtual Institutes bring Penn's faculty and resources to teachers, educators and leaders across the globe. In these innovative professional learning modules, participants engage in real-time, online group sessions as well as reflect and learn at their own pace in asynchronous sessions. Institutes typically span three consecutive half days, allowing participants to accelerate their learning while continuing to fulfill their professional obligations.

About the Program

The Conditions for Education Innovation Virtual Institute equips leaders and their teams with the skills to cultivate the conditions of innovation required to create an equitable and transformative learning environment.

Created for leaders and teams who support the development and/or implementation of emerging or existing learning environments, this Virtual Institute will explore the conditions for innovation using Transcend's Conditions for Innovation Framework. Additional leadership theories, case studies and strategies will also be examined. Through a combination of synchronous sessions and asynchronous work, participants of this Institute will learn how to use this framework for reflection, strategic planning and decision making, collective action, and vision casting.

Participants will leave this Institute with a community of support and the capacity to grow local conditions for innovation within a wide range of educational settings.
