Earn a certificate in instructional coaching and become an intentional and skillful agent of growth for your educational colleagues.


Program Format

The 9-month program consists of four self-paced online learning modules, interspersed with six synchronous practice sessions, and ending with a self-directed independent inquiry project.

Tentative Schedule
Online Learning Modules
Within the time window provided, these self-paced modules allow participants to review materials and complete field-based practice assignments and reflections at their own speed.

  • Module 1: October 2021
  • Module 2: November-December 2021
  • Module 3: January-March 2022
  • Module 4: April-May 2022


Synchronous Learning and Practice Sessions
These live sessions take place virtually six times across the course (three times per semester). Dates and times will be scheduled post-enrollment. The final session will be a sharing on inquiry projects.

 

 

 


Program of Study

The Instructional Coaching certificate program focuses on the five core coaching components outlined in the graphic below.


These core coaching components are addressed at increasing levels of depth and complexity over four modules:

  1. Setting the Foundation: Coaching Vision, Trust, and Communication
  2. Collaborative Deliberation: Protocols to guide coaching work
  3. Coaching Through Complexity: Using the five coaching components to address increasingly complicated coaching situations
  4. Coaching As Inquiry: Self-directed coaching inquiry project work

Application and Registration

Ideal candidates for this program are current PK-12 or higher education staff with mentoring or coaching roles; grade/department chairs; school and systems leaders; other instructional leaders.


Payment Options

If you are accepted into the program, you will be emailed directions for how to submit your payment and finalize your program participation.

Upon registering, you will see two payment options to pay the $4,500 program enrollment fee. Please note that there is a discounted program fee of $3,200 for those who complete their application by September 13, 2021.

 

Payment in Full - This option will allow you to pay the entire program fee immediately upon accepting your offer of admission. The deadline to submit this payment and confirm your enrollment is September 30, 2021.

 

Payment Plan - This option will allow you to enroll in a payment plan. The payment plan schedule is as follows:

  • Payment 1 - $2,000, due immediately upon registration. The deadline to submit this first payment and confirm your enrollment is September 30, 2021.
  • Payment 2 - 1/3 of remaining balance due in November
  • Payment 3 - 1/3 of remaining balance due in February
  • Payment 4 - Remaining balance due in May
