Six Sessions
The registration period has closed for this event.
This seminar will explore some of Chicago’s most storied public interiors through a series of readings and walking tours. The rise of speculative skyscrapers in the late nineteenth century prompted developers to commission elaborate decorations for the lobby spaces of their buildings. The seminar will examine the history of this phenomenon, paying attention to the evolving roles played by the lobbies of a variety of buildings in Chicago’s business districts and tourist areas.
Six sessions: $255/$230. Led by Diane Dillon
Registration is $255
