Five Sessions
The registration period has closed for this event.
Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood contains a great number of important literary associations, including the Newberry Library and authors connected to it. The neighborhood’s rich history is intertwined with the notable writers and thinkers who’ve made the Gold Coast home over the past century and a half.
This class will combine site visits (all within walking distance) with reading that explores the neighborhood—its evolution, its lasting value, and the work that has been produced in and about it.
Five Sessions, $215 ($193.50 for Newberry members, seniors, and students). Led by Donald G. Evans
Registration is $215
We offer a 10% discount to seniors, students, and members of the Newberry (Associates at the Author level and above).
