Seminar Description
Chicago’s Lake Michigan shore is lined with thousands of rock carvings, made by ordinary people, that individually are often magnificent and together constitute a collective work of art that is unique in the world yet mostly unknown. We'll explore this public gallery of largely anonymous art and learn about its history and the people who created it.

One session. $50/$45.

Led by William Swislow.

Instructor

William Swislow is a writer and art collector who operates the cultural website interestingideas.com and sits on the boards of Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art and the Society for Commercial Archeology. He is the author of Lakefront Anonymous: Chicago’s Unknown Art Gallery.
