WHITEBOARD IEPS (1st offering)

This training focuses on the process of developing an Individualized Educational
Program (IEP) that incorporates the legal requirements of LRE (Least Restrictive
Environment). Participants learn the facilitation of a Whiteboard IEP Process.
Strategies for implementing the IEP with fidelity and data collection procedures for monitoring progress toward goals and objectives are also covered.

Special Education

Priority to districts within MAISD. Addl spaces may be opened beyond MAISD.


Cost

Registration is $15.00 for outside of the MAISD/local districts.

 

  • Many events carry a 20% discount for MAISD schools and districts. Some events are entirely free to MAISD schools and districts. See flyer (above) for details. Discount will be confirmed at billing.

 

  • Cancellations BEFORE the registration deadline will be at no cost. Please contact pd@maisd.com prior to the registration deadline if a cancellation is needed.

 

  • Cancellations AFTER the registration deadline will be charged $25. In some cases, late cancellations may be charged up to 100% of the event registration and material costs. After the registration deadline, MAISD orders materials for registered participants.

Presenter(s): Amanda Foster


This is Amanda’s twentieth year in education. Amanda spent 6 years teaching in an elementary categorical classroom for students with severe emotional impairments and 5 years teaching in a middle school categorical classroom for students with emotional impairments. Amanda is starting her ninth year as a teacher consultant for Montcalm Area ISD. She has an undergraduate degree from Hope College in elementary education and special education with an endorsement for Emotional Impairments and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Amanda has a Masters in Education from Spring Arbor College. Amanda is a certified trainer through the IIRP for Restorative Practices and a State trainer for the START project. Amanda is passionate about inclusion and ensuring every child feels welcome and safe at school.
