ONLINE GENTLE YOGA, Session I & II

Mondays, Jan 9 – Apr 24, 6:30-7:45pm (no classes on 1/16/23 & 2/20/23)

Practice easy stretches, postures, guided meditation and breathing exercises in one of these gentle therapeutic yoga classes.


MEDITATION PRACTICES FOR SELF-CARE, SESSION I & II

Thursdays, Jan 12 – Mar 23, 4-5pm

Join us to learn simple ways to quiet the mind and learn how meditation can be beneficial to your overall health. You will learn a variety of meditation techniques that you can easily practice whenever you need it most. Come to one or all classes.


STARTING AN EXERCISE PRACTICE AFTER CANCER TREATMENT

Thursdays, Jan 12- Mar 2, 11am-12pm

Each class in this 8-week series will include part lecture and part movement. Movements will be very light intensity. Light cardio exercise (5 min to 10 min), breathing exercise, range of motion exercise, and some strength exercise (strength exercise will be done using body weight). Most of the exercise will be done on the chair or holding on to the chair. Since the lessons will build over time, please plan on attending the entire series. Please check with your medical team to make sure you are cleared to start exercising.

Transitions can be challenging to navigate. Come learn tips and tricks to healthfully navigate transitions both during and after treatment.


CANCER & CREATIVE EXPRESSION: SIMPLE WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES

Go with the watercolor flow and experiment with different watercolor techniques to create a landscape scene. All ability levels welcome.

Everyone experiences challenging emotional states. We don't always know how to manage these big feelings. R.A.I.N is a practice of maintaining awareness of your thoughts and feelings, without judgement. We will practice this simple and profound tool together.

Talking with others and getting needed support is key to living with lymphedema. Join us for sharing and educational presentations focused on living with this challenging condition. Meetings provide a safe and non-judgmental environment to give and receive support.
