Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognized skills-based training that teaches participants (age 18 and up) about mental health and substance-use issues. The interactive training gives participants the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
There are two zoom classes available– Adult and Youth.
The Adult Mental Health First Aid 6.5 hour class is for employers, faith leaders, first responders, hospital staff, community members, and caring individuals who want to learn how to help someone who is dealing with mental health or substance use issues or crisis.
What skills will you get from this training?
Please note: You need to complete a 2-hour long pre-work prior to the zoom class. The pre-work includes a great slide presentation and videos.
