In this training, participants (18 years old and up) will learn how to identify if someone is considering suicide, how to start the conversation and what to say, and how to connect them with help.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
This is an interactive class with videos and activities designed to provide the knowledge and courage to reach out to someone who is struggling.

About the Instructor:
Danit Erlich, Ph.D. is a mental health and wellness educator. She has taught mental health, suicide prevention, resilience and self-care to hundreds of adults and teens in various organizations and companies across Washington State.
During the trainings, Danit highlights the importance of cultural awareness and cultural humility and encourages participants to share about their culture.
Danit has a Ph.D. in Criminology, is a Certified Parent and Life Coach, Certified Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor, and QPR Suicide Prevention instructor.
