Pregnancy and childbirth can affect the pelvic floor muscles, which play an important role in controlling the bladder and bowel, and sexual function.
In this video, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the changes in your body, muscles, and joints during pregnancy from a Board-Certified Pelvic Floor Therapist, Board-Certified Women's Health Specialist, and Certified Pregnancy and Post-Partum Exercise Coach. Learn how to prepare your pelvic floor for an easier childbirth and beyond. You will also learn safety guidelines and precautions to follow during exercise, how to avoid or lessen pregnancy-related pain in joints and muscles, and ways to retrain and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. It also includes a 30-minute exercise routine to stay fit and healthy during pregnancy and post-partum.
