CS Explorations 1 is an introductory course based on the MyCS Scratch curriculum that empowers middle school students to engage with computer science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem solving, and fun. Through a series of real world scenarios, projects and challenges, students are introduced to foundational concepts that they will return to repeatedly throughout the course.

Maryland Center for Computing Education (MCCE) does not provide individual stipends to teachers for its professional development. In some cases CPD credit is available. Please check with your district point of contact for questions around stipend eligibility and availability.
This workshop is being offered at no cost to all participants.
Recording of sessions will be determined by the facilitator(s).
Maryland Center for Computing Education is housed at the University System of Maryland and was founded in partnership with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and the University of Maryland, College Park.
