CS Explorations 2 is an introductory course based on MIT AI curricular resources for middle school designed to help students explore AI and its far-reaching societal impacts in our world. The course is designed around engaging activities and learning units that integrate CS and computational thinking concepts with ethical design and responsible use, as students explore how these technologies can help solve problems and improve life for themselves and their communities.
CPD: Credits - 1
Professional Development: Hours - 15
(CPDs are only earned after you've attended the required number of synchronous meetings and completed the required number of asynchronous assignments.)
For those who do not qualify for the MCCE Scholarship, you will be required to pay to attend this workshop.
Scholarships from the Maryland Center for Computing Education (MCCE) and Code.org will be offered to teachers who meet eligibility requirements. For more information on eligibility, please contact your district lead or inquire at MCCE-MDCodes@learning-stream.com or MCCE-PD@learning-stream.com.
Maryland Center for Computing Education (MCCE) does not provide individual stipends to teachers for its professional development. In some cases CPD credit is available. Please check with your district point of contact for questions around stipend eligibility and availability.
