Assignment Design - Session 2: Transform an Existing Assignment into a Renewable Assignment

Join us for this two-hour workshop to learn how to convert an assignment you give students into a renewable assignment. Most course assignments are “disposable” in the sense that they will only ever be seen by the student and the instructor. Moreover, students often see little point in them and rarely revisit them. What if we redesigned our course assignments to empower students as creators of resources? Whether creating videos, editing wiki articles, or writing op eds, a renewable assignment is designed to create value beyond the classroom. In this workshop we will help you convert an existing assignment, using this open pedagogical approach.
