This is a series of meetings for parents of children with ASD and developmental disabilities residing in the First District RESA areas (Appling, Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Glynn, Jeff Davis, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Screven, Tattnall, Toombs, Vidalia City, and Wayne).

Amanda Major
Amanda Major joined Coastal GLRS as Program Specialist in July 2021. She holds a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University, a master's degree from Armstrong State University, and a specialist's degree from the University of West Georgia. In addition to teacher certification, Amanda is endorsed as a Teacher Support Specialist (TSS) and in Educational Leadership (as of July 2021). Amanda has 14 years of experience working in the field of special education, with experience as an interrelated special education teacher, an autism teacher, and an autism interventionist supporting teachers of students with ASD across settings. Amanda was recognized by GLRS as Special Education Teacher of the Year for Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools in 2012. She has presented at several state and local conferences and provided countless district-level trainings on best practices in special education.
