(Students will be given protective wear, but those with bee allergies should not attend.)
Learn how to repair cars that have been damaged in an accident. Work with Bondo filler, practice sanding, and paint a project with a real spray gun and automotive paint. Learn how to weld plastic too! Closed-toe shoes required.
Learn about basic construction practices and safety while building small-scale take-home projects. Students gain hands-on experience with hand and power tools. Closed-toe shoes required.
Explore electronic devices including the creation of electricity and its transformation. Use state-of-the-art equipment to examine electricity and how it is used. Then build a model solar car to race and take home!
Explore the world of graphic production and printing by designing and creating projects to keep! Use Macintosh computers and Adobe professional software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
Explore the many career opportunities in this industry such as lodging, amusement parks, cruise ships, and food service. You'll also practice food preparation in our professional kitchen. Closed-toe shoes and hair ties required.
Spend a day learning how to build a computer, secure a computer network from hackers, build network cables to allow computers to talk to each other, and even write code for video games!
Separately they're fun, but put them together and that's how things get done! Participate in hands-on activities and learn how STEM relates to different careers. Students will explore rockets, architecture, and plastics. When STEM is involved, the sky's the limit!
Choose a career you can take anywhere– even under water! As a welder you can do all this and more. Learn about the safety and quality of welds, set up a welder, practice weld joints, and use a plasma cutter to create designs. Long pants and closed-toe shoes required.
