Housing First is an effective, cost-efficient, evidence-based best practice that demonstrates improved health outcomes and care utilization for people experiencing homelessness, including people with HIV (PWH). Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. (EHE) initiative is a unique opportunity for HRSA-funded Jurisdictions to support the uptake and implementation of the Housing First model in their communities to prevent new HIV diagnoses and engage people with HIV who are outside the current system of care.

Webinar attendees will learn about the Housing First model and hear from colleagues on how they incorporated this approach.

By the end of the webinar you will be able to:

  • Describe a Housing First approach

  • Articulate the evidence base for Housing First as a best practice

  • List three ways a Housing First approach could be promoted by an EHE Jurisdiction

This opportunity is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration HIV AIDS Bureau (HRSA HAB), CAI's (Cicatelli Associates Inc.) Technical Assistance Provider-innovation network (TAP-in) provides TA to the 47 EHE-funded Jurisdictions.
