Activity Synopsis:
Practicing dentists should be able to recognize and evaluate patients with TMJ disorders and/or Skeletal Facial Dysplasia. It is important that they understand the relationship between these conditions and be able to provide care for these patients, including making appropriate and necessary referrals. This presentation will enable the practicing dentist to gain the level of comfort needed when seeing these patients.
Activity Objectives:
1. Identify TMJ Disorders
2. Identify Skeletal Facial Dysplasia
3. Describe the intricate relationship between these two disorders and suggest a predictable outcome to treat them when they coalesce.
