In the spirit of unity and sisterhood, our annual Lenten celebration will be a brunch and Tu B'Shevat seder conducted by Jewish friends from Strangers No More. Tu B'Shevat celebrates the Jewish New Year of the Trees to acknowledge the important role trees play in our lives. We're asking our guests to bring hygiene items for Giving the Basics KC, a Hygiene Hub providing basic products not covered by government assistance programs. These products are distributed to more than 250,000 people each month.
Hygiene products most needed at Giving the Basics (in both full and travel sizes): All-purpose cleaner, baby supplies, shower supplies, hair supplies, dental supplies , feminine hygiene supplies, Deodorant, Laundry soap, Storage and trash bags.
