Ways to Serve in Worship

Usher Team

This important ministry involves directing congregants to their seats, keeping an eye out for any needs someone might have and releasing for communion.

Greeter Team

Door Greeters are often the first face of Resurrection and help to welcome those who are coming to worship. Greeters generally serve 30 minutes prior to service and 15 minutes after the start of service by opening doors and offering a warm smile and friendly welcome to our many guests and members.

Parking Greeters help congregants find a place to park and are the very first smiling face they will see.  They help point the way to entrances and answer initial questions.

Communion Servers

Offering the congregation the body and blood of Christ during Communion is a simple yet profound way to serve.

Security Team

Safety is an important part of offering a welcome space to worship.  We need those who can simply keep an eye on activities, note if someone is needing assistance and making sure that we are aware of all activity in the various spaces.  This role involves depositing the offering in the safe and working alongside a KCPD officer.

Hospitality Team

This team handles making sure coffee/tea/water are available.  It is one of the most important ways others feel welcome.  This team may also assist, beyond worship, at other events with set-up, take-down and beverages.

Info Desk Team

This role involves monitoring the information desk, answering questions and assisting those who may have an array of needs.  Needs can be anything from “where are the restrooms” to “I need to speak with a pastor” to “I left my glasses here last week.”
