The Answer is Blowing in the Wind! (Grades K-12)

In order to meet our zero carbon goal by 2030, SMUD will rely on renewable energy sources.  Wind energy is an important part of the SMUD energy mix. Learn the basics about wind energy, how it’s used and where to properly locate wind turbines in this workshop, presented by NEED. Teachers will build an anemometer. Materials for this workshop will be mailed to you by NEED. 


In order to send materials, register at least 7 business days before the workshop. If you register within 7 business days of the workshop, we cannot guarantee you will receive materials by the class date. Webinar links will be sent in reminder emails in the days leading up to the presentation.
