Tuesday, November 16, 2021
4:00 PM-5:00 PM

Sacramento has a long history with hydropower with the first long distance transmission of electricity in 1895. Hydropower is still an important part of our renewable energy mix. Learn about the power of water, how electricity is made and how it is used in our area in this class presented by NEED. Teachers will create an activity based on the force of water. Materials will be sent by NEED.

In order to send materials, register at least 7 business days before the workshop. If you register within 7 business days of the workshop, we cannot guarantee you will receive materials by the class date. Webinar links will be sent in reminder emails in the days leading up to the presentation.

Please enter a good mailing address (where we will send materials). Materials can only be sent to addresses within SMUD service territory.

These workshops are provided for educators. All registrants should have the ability to show proof of their status as an educator, if requested (school email address, ID card, etc.). Materials for this class, will be shipped by NEED.
