This professional learning opportunity provides the participants with a basic understanding of navigation in the SESIS application as well as how the student information is structured. Upon completion of this learning session, the participants will be able to: • Log in and log out of the SESIS application • Navigate and customize their SESIS Home Page • Search for students in SESIS • View a student’s record in SESIS including the profile, documents and events • View, create, edit and finalize a document in SESIS • Send and view a SESIS Message • Run a SESIS Report • Access training materials for reference Target Audience: New school based / CSE staff and field support staff who are responsible for supporting staff or providing services to students with disabilities

Encounter Attendance for DOE Related Service Providers

This professional learning opportunity provides an understanding on how to navigate Encounter Attendance as well as how to record past services and schedule future services for a student. The attendees will also learn how to find and review sections of a student’s IEP or IESP and how to manage their My Students Caseload in SESIS.    Upon completion of this learning session, the participants will be able to:  • manage the My Students Caseload on their SESIS Home Page  • review a student’s IEP or IESP in SESIS  • navigate the Service Calendar record past services in SESIS  • schedule future services in SESIS  • create reports related to a student’s mandated services  • record progress towards goals  • access training materials for reference  Target Audience: DOE related service providers, paraprofessionals, SETSS teachers, guidance counselors, social workers

 This professional learning opportunity provides an understanding of the Annual Review functionality in SESIS for students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP).    Upon completion of this learning session, the participants will be able to: • Determine by what date an IEP needs to be completed for a student • Create and complete a Notice of IEP Meeting • Create and navigate through an IEP • Record the IEP Conference Attendance • Create and complete the Prior Written Notice for Placement • Record progress towards goals • Access training materials for reference Target Audience: All school-based staff and CSE staff who are involved in annual reviews and other staff that want to better understand the annual review process

IEP Amendment/Reconvene Process in SESIS

This professional learning session provides hands-on practice and demonstration for a complete understanding on how to update an IEP through either an Amendment or Reconvene of an IEP Conference. Upon completion of this learning session, the participants will be able to: • Create and finalize the Notice of IEP Amendment/Reconvene • Create and finalize the Waiver of IEP Meeting to Amend the IEP • Modify and finalize the amended IEP • Create and complete the Prior Notice of Recommendation • Access training materials for reference Target Audience: Special Education teachers, school psychologists, Special Education liaisons, family workers, school administrators, Special Education CSE staff, related service providers
