McNeese State University, in partnership with ed2go, offers online continuing education programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations.

Instructors/mentors are actively involved in your online learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed. You have the flexibility to pursue your skills and career interests online from the comfort of your home and at your convenience. Choose from a variety of programs designed to fit your schedule and enhance your professional development.

 

Our online professional training courses do not require admission to the University. These special programs can be started at any time and can be taken in a self-paced format. Courses do not count for college credit.

This accelerated one-day DOT is designed to serve as both an initial and refresher course meeting the 49 CFR 172.704 training requirements. Topics include hazardous substance determination, proper shipping names, placarding, marking, labeling, shipping papers and more.

This course provides the preparation for Louisiana's state notary exam. Class discussions will focus on mortgages, conveyances, leases, contracts, legal descriptions, successions, wills, trusts, and community property regime. This course will cover the design, thermodynamics, operation, specifications and sizing of steam turbines. For design, the types of steam turbines and associated thermodynamics will be covered. In arrangements, the steam turbines components will be defined and described. Specifications will include review of API 611 for General Purpose and API 612 for Special Purpose Steam Turbines with associated Data Sheets.

Journal Bearing Analysis
In this course students will learn the basic principles of journal bearing design and rotor dynamics in order to apply analysis techniques using time waveform, FFT spectra, orbits, shaft centerline plots, and load path plots. Accelerometer and proximity probe vibration data as well as dynamic strain data are covered.
